I love Christmas, but I will be honest; when you live in SoCal and the weather doesn’t always scream “Winter”, it is hard to listen about chestnuts roasting on an open fire when you are wearing shorts 😐 but I do enjoy my songs. My top pick is The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole. My number 2 is Jingle Bell Rock. And Mariah was put on the earth to sing Christmas songs…I’ll stop there. I’m sorry to hear about your dad, Scandie. (((HUGS)))

It is WAY too early for Christmas music. Around Nov 16 or so a local radio station switches to all Christmas music. It used to me my main radio station and then I would change for the Christmas season because i can’t just listen to Christmas music for 6 weeks. But 2 years ago I didn’t switch back.
Anyway I think starting Dec 1 or the first week of Advent it’s ok to play intermittent Christmas music and then on Dec 24 it can be all Christmas music. I know I’m a grinch.

When I hear “Last Christmas” by Wham! I know that Christmas has arrived.

I feel like such a Scrooge! I loathe Christmas music unless I am at a Christmas gathering with family or friends, then it feels right and I enjoy it. Not enough to know the titles of singers, but I can know all the words to my favorite songs and still not know those things. The man used to play “who/what” is this every time we listened to music in the beginning until I stopped guessing for his amusement.

I vote no on Christmas music.
