from Goodreads…
Sephina is about to trade one addiction for another—and his name is Axel.
Sephina Antara has gotten into a lot of trouble as a sex demon with a drug addiction. Moving to a new village was supposed to help her get clean. But when she relapses, it comes with a side of hot dragon man.
Axel Stavros may be a drug dealer, but he’s also the town healer. Half-human, half-dragon, his blood can cure just about anything, but it has some erotic side effects for its user, as the new beauty in town is about to find out…
Content Warning: graphic language, hot foreplay, and even hotter sex, including light bondage and some girl-on-girl action.
My stop on this blog tour is supposed to consist of an interview and a guest post. I’ll get to that in a minute, first I have to tell you about this book. Jaye Shields can write the hell out of a sex scene. Seriously, she writes some steamy hot paranormal stuff. And let me tell you, she takes wall sex to a whole new scandalicious level. One of the reasons I love paranormal like I do is because the creatures involved tend to have super human strength and their bodies bounce back a little quicker. Well, hold on to your panties friends because in this one, Axel goes downtown on Sephina up against a wall. Now, I know you’re saying…no biggie Scandal…what’s all the fuss? No biggie my ass, he lifts her shit up…nope, not gonna tell you – you’re gonna have to read it for yourself.
Ms. Shields creates these supernatural characters with real world problems…childhood abuse, substance abuse, you name it, they’ve seen it. It’s practically impossible to not feel deeply for Sephina’s situation. She’s tough as nails but she’s been through a lot…she deserves a little happiness. And Axel might just be the sexiest Dragon I’ve ever read. He is total alpha swoon material. Addictions of a Sex Demon also links up with a Secrets of the Fog reference which is pretty cool. In a way, it brings the whole story full circle but don’t worry, you don’t need to be current with her Immortals In Alameda series, but you totally should be!
Now, on with the rest of my regularly scheduled post…
salty or sweet
Sweet
night owl or morning person
Both. I know that sounds like a cop out, but my job keeps my sleep schedule totally off balance. One week I’ll need to wake up at 3am so I’m asleep by 9pm, the next week, I fly til midnight and can’t sleep til 3am!
coffee or tea
Coffee. How is this even a question?
mountains or ocean
Ugh. This is a horrible question. Usually I would say ocean, but I just had to relocate, and now I’m surrounded by mountains an that’s pretty stunning as well.
last song you put on repeat
Since my last boyfriend broke up with me I’ve been playing a song called fearless on guitar pretty much over and over again. My neighbors are probably way over it. I love that song though because the message is simple, just because something is over doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. I get to look forward to a new adventure now, and I’m not afraid.
favorite tv show
Family Guy, True Blood and Game of Throne (although I really miss Kal-Drogo) or however the hell you spell it. The hot half-naked brooding warrior king…
favorite comfort food
Warm flourless chocolate cake
favorite scent
Jasmine
best childhood memory
I have too many to count. Thanks goes out to my adoring family
rule breaker or inside the lines
The airline keeps me in line these days. I don’t wanna end up on the no-fly list!
favorite adult beverage
Whisky sour
favorite movie
Midnight in Paris
the last totally scandalicious thing you did
Salsa danced with a Levis model. Yum.
Tell me about a hobby or something you are really good at that people would find surprising.
I don’t really think that I’m really good at anything in particular. I think im pretty good at a lot of things, but not really an expert at anything. I don’t have a secret black belt or anything. I wish.
Best Valentine’s memory
When I was 11, my dad brought me a dozen rozes, orange tic-tacs, and a huge container full of teriyaki chicken. All my favorite things. I felt so special. I’ve had romantic valentines days since then, but I’m not giving those dudes any recognition since we’re not together anymore.
I asked Jaye to tell us about her sexiest vacation ever…enjoy!
Gosh, Scandalicious, I’ve never felt so painfully single in my life. Tee-hee. Let me just begin by saying I’ve had some pretty delicious, scandalicious vacations with the incredible men from my past. But since I’m a strong, independent woman, I’m going to dish on my sexiest vacation as a single.
Welcome to the Mexican Riviera…
Luckily, I just happen to be one guera who is fluent in Spanish. Thanks to my aunt Teresa that moved to Mexico over twenty years ago to open up a clinic for women. I’ve been lucky enough to do a great deal of traveling in Mexico, but no place could be more relaxing and exotic than the Yucatan Peninsula. My go-to place to stay is Tulum, a small town about two hours drive from Cancun. Away from the chaos of spring breakers, you’ll find powder sand beaches and warm, turquoise water. Baby Turtle nests are the only thing you’ll have to look out for while walking through the soft beach, no sharp shells or bottle caps left by drunken tourists. I recommend staying at Cabanas Tulum, a cheap, yet elegant option to stay right there on the beach. Oh, and did I mention the guy in charge is super foxy?
Upon my arrival, my cheeks turned ten shades of red, my fluent Spanish skills magically disappeared, and the already exotic temperature of the region turned twenty degrees hotter. Sweat much? After I got settled in, I immediately ran into the water, letting the waves splash against my body. The sensation of the warm water colliding against my skin left me feeling wild and wanton. For a moment, I was something straight out of a romance novel. Later that night, said hotel hottie did ask me to dance (which I dumbly declined for fear he’d discover I have no skills in the rhythm department) but I did let him buy me a drink. I didn’t have a hot fling with the innkeeper and some of my scandalous books might imply, but trust me, the constant eye candy made me stay all the more delicious. Well, that and the corona and limes.
There are two destinations that I recommend for single women, Mexico and Italy. Both these countries will leave you feeling gorgeous and desired. Italy has a slight advantage because when I was there, I had at least 15 men in four different cities offer to make me dinner. I took about six of them up on it. And every meal was delicious! The line “Is someone making you dinner?” nearly melted me into a puddle every time.
Welp, that’s it. If you’re single and want to go on a vacay by yourself (which I highly recommend) go to a peaceful destination in Mexico like Tulum, or travel the smaller cities in Italy like Venice or Cinque Terre.
XOXO Have fun!
Jaye
P.S. I was so enchanted with Tulum, Mexico that it was the setting for some of my book, Secrets of the Jaguar, the third book in my Immortals in Alameda trilogy, featuring Michelle and Duncan’s story, out this June. The first two books are out now

WHAT A GREAT POST!! Thank you for hosting today!! Wink Wink XOXO
thanks dear! sorry it was a little late, my brain has decongestant cobwebs all over it! It’s really a fun story and completely hot!
This is very refreshing, Jaye Shields sounds like a woman that is very in tune with herself…confident for lack of a better word. I love that she embraces solo travel! I have been doing it since 2010, when the last of my girlfriends got married
. And one of the first places I went to was Mexico and last year I hit Europe but Italy definitely stood out for me. I plan on going back and doing the whole country from top to bottom. Something about those countries that have the love languages…they just get you every time. Nice blog tour Scandal!
thanks Lola…scroll back up and enter for your chance to win a copy of this steamy book…I totally forgot to add a giveaway to it when I published the original post!
I travelled for the first time by myself to the Wicked Girls weekend but I was greeted at the gate by a bunch of people, does it count that I’d never met any of them before?!!? Naaah, not really I guess! You went to Europe by yourself…you are invincible!
Thanks for stopping by, Lola! Italy is definitely an incredible place!
Thanks for the fun blog tour stop! This sounds like a great series…and I love your scandalicious take on Jaye’s sex scenes! I also appreciated the “insider” look at Jaye…she DOES seem like a strong, independent woman!
I’m glad you enjoyed it Brandee – it’s always a pleasure working with Jaye.
Scandal! You’re one of the few people that have mentioned the crossover between the Immortals series and the Sex Demon series. I love that you caught that. There’s one more mention in Confessions of a Sex Demon as well…its very subtle, so far no one has noticed. I’m so glad you enjoyed Addictions of a Sex Demon. I had a long day of flying today and it made coming home all the sweeter to have one of your super fun reviews. I love a scandalicious review because I never know what the hell you’re going to say. XOXO
If I’m being honest, I never know what I’m going to say! HAHA! No I’m joking, I actually went to bed and woke up with thoughts on this one and that’s saying something considering the amount of cold medicine I had pulsing through my veins!
Now I’m going to need to re-read Confessions to catch that reference…I love putting the puzzle pieces together like that!
